What is an e-Club?
It is a club that meets virtually and operates outside of the stereotypical Kiwanis meeting model, thereby offering more flexibility. As an e-club, we are not required to live in the same physical location. This e-club is composed of members from all areas of North America. Every member is a full member of Kiwanis. Just because this is an e-club does not make it any less of a true Kiwanis club!
But what is the NextGen e-Club?
The focus of this e-club is hands-on service! To that end, each member is encouraged to perform service in their individual community to report back to the club. The club has shared, themed projects that members complete in their local community. Think of it as unified, global service with a hyperlocal focus. We also perform a bunch of virtual service projects where we connect via technology and serve alongside each other at the same time. This is an opportunity to make a big difference in many communities across the country – or even around the world!
We want to make this e-club work for its members. Rather than making new Kiwanians fit into a club mold that was designed long ago, we are creating the mold as we go to accommodate the desires of our members and the needs of the communities in which we individually serve. Flexibility, understanding, enthusiasm, comfort with ambiguity and the unknown, and kindness are key as we move forward with this idea.
This Kiwanis club may look and feel unlike anything you’ve experienced before. It does not replicate or mirror what Kiwanis clubs look like or have done in the past. This is something new and different. The e-club draws from your best Kiwanis Family experiences and your passion for serving the community and the world. It has been formed with new and innovative ideas that redefine what a service club experience is like. We are creative in how we organize, meet, network, and serve.

Kiwanis helps kids around the world. Our Kiwanis club looks out for our community and the Kiwanis international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty. Our Kiwanis club is generous with its time. We are creative with our ideas. We are passionate about making a difference. And we have fun along the way!

Kiwanis Service
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.
